Norway

Busy at the computer this evening I edited a couple of shots I took in Norway last Summer. It made me remember how completely stunnning the Nærøyfjord Fjord was. It is actually the worlds most narrow fjord and is a Unesco World herritage site! This first shot was taken on our first evening on an exploratory walk from our camp site, camera and tripod in hand of course! It was the start location of our 3 day kayak trip.

This shot was taken from the openeing of our tent on day 3 as the first sunshine entered the Fjord. It was such a magical sight.

Another shot of Agnes

I have edited another shot of Agnes (our photo model on Sunday) and developed it in 2 different styles: one natural and the other more romantic. I can't decide which I prefer! In the first it is her eyes that draw my attention and the second her hair looks so soft and beautiful...

Studio Portrait Course

I spent today at a studio portrait photography course organised by Sven-Erik Johansson. The same principles of studio lighting apply of course to natural lighting...it's just that I'll have to find the right light before taking the shot rather than creating it. I had the opportunity to photograph a model and set my own lighting which was a real challenge from both the technical side and also in model direction...but I enjoyed every second! Here's a quick sneak at my efforts, there will be more to come during the week. Huge thanks to Sven-Erik and our beautiful model Agnes!

Tullinge sjön

A little ice-skating on lake Tullinge this afernoon as the sun went down made a perfect opportunity for us both to get some training in, physical training for Olof and photography training for me! Here's my favourite shot...

Kattvik

I took these shots over the Christmas holidays. The first was taken on the beach at Kattvik (outside Båstad) and the second is taken at Falsterbo.

Testing new techniques in PS this morning, I focussed on some shots I took of my husband over the christmas holiday and I'm very pleased with the outcome! I can't decide if I prefer the colour or B/W version of the first shot though...hmm..

This week I learn a little about retouching in PS (thanks to Juliana Wiklund!)... and this evening I put my new PS tools to the test! I retouched a couple of bridal portraits that I took this Summer of a friend, Ulrika. Here is a example before and after shot...
